Help me understand BMR and TDEE

My weight loss has stalled out for a while here, about three weeks, and I'm trying to figure out why. I measure my food and track my calories religiously. I'm fairly new to the BMR and TDEE talk, but I did the calculator that I have seen people mention. According to the calculator I used my BMR is 1965 and my TDEE is 2702. However, MFP has my max calories set to 1470, which is well below my BMR. From what I understand, you should not go below your BMR for calories. Am I right about this? So I'm wondering if I should continue sticking with MFPs 1470 or if I should increase my calories based on my BMR and TDEE numbers. Maybe I am just misunderstanding some things, but I wanted some feedback. Honestly, I've lost weight before, but I've never tracked calories...only fat, and I didn't have near this hard of a time losing weight.
Here are my stats in case you want them...
Weight: 272
Height: 5 foot 8 inches
Age: 38 and I am female
Oh, and I do go walking for exercise. I walk about 5 days a week, sometimes more, and I got for about 30 minutes each time. It usually comes up to just over 200 calories burned.

With as much as you need to lose, it's fine to be below your BMR. My net goal is about 25 calories below BMR, but I'm also pretty heavy.
Can you open your diary? When you say measure, do you use measuring cups or a food scale? Cups can be pretty inaccurate when it comes to serving sizes.0 -

I actually use measuring cups. I have a scale, but it's not digital and doesn't do me a lot of good. I've wondered about the measuring cups and if I'm getting accurate measurements. I don't even have 20 extra dollars to buy a digital scale right now unfortunately, but it's on my list.
Oh, and I'll open my dairy. I was sick about a week or so ago, so if you see a few days where my calories were super low that's why. I have been increasing my calories lately to try and reach my max calories as close as possible. I was falling pretty short of them for a while.0 -
Bumping this up because it got knocked off the first page pretty quickly.0
