Can't seem to stop binge eating??

So I've been binge eating (really heavily...I ate over 3000 calories today and I'm 5' 0") every day for this past week. I'm not stressed or anything...I just don't seem to have any self control. I'll get these random intense sugar cravings and then I'll walk to the nearest convenience store like I'm possessed and buy boxes and bags of candy which I demolish in one sitting. How do I stop this? I have PCOS so this kind of behavior is even more detrimental than it is for most other people.

I'm almost the same height as you and have been suffering from the same problems: hormonal imbalances, and binge-eating. It was like I was in a hole: sometimes I was terrified and wanted to do whatever to come out, but other times, I felt like giving up and saying, maybe this is just how I was supposed to be.
I weighed myself yesterday morning, and realised that I had gained 18 pounds in two months. That was a turning point for me. I realised that I wasn't just destroying any looks I had, but my health as well. At our height the strain on our joints is huge, and just a small amount of weight makes a big difference.
My advice would be to right now write down how you are feeling, as much as you possibly can, then weigh yourself, and then write down all the pros and cons in stopping the binge. I am not a health professional, this is just some advice. Hope you get better soon, hope we beat this horrible disease...0 -
Please know that you are not alone. Do you have a good support system that you can reach out to? If not, this might be a great time to develop one; seek out groups or therapy, in addition to friends and family. There's likely a cause for the behavior. If you can identify what's at the bottom of it, then you can begin to change it. Journalling is a great, tool. Don't try to change everything all at once and please remember that we all have set backs. It's how we chose to handle them that makes the difference.0
