Sooooo hi everyone!
I'm Shu - new to the site and part-time dieter. I say part time because it always seems like I'm either cycling on or off my diet, but at the moment I'm trying to shed 20-40 pounds and trim up. I'm ridiculously short; like, I could get lost in a crowd of middle-school kids and be worried the 8th graders might take my lunch money (4'11) XD BUT! I am in fact 29, training to be a tai chi instructor, and soon to start working for an awesome pet food company.
Cute, nerdy, psych major boyfriend and only furry kids, I'm trying to accomplish a lot of things and lose weight at the same time. I write and paint constantly, and when I can find fabric on the cheap I make costumes and blankets ![:3 :3](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/blush.png)
Currently I'm staying with my mother while I save up for a down payment for a trailer and a plot of land back in Texas and work on my certification. Hoooooopefully I'll be certified by/around Christmas and can start taking on students for the new year. But dieting's a pain since my mom is always on/off dieting and serial binge-eats on fast food. The occasional drive-thru treat is fine, but please not every day. My poor tummy can't handle it anymore (makes me sick for days from the grease). Meanwhile I'm trying to introduce her to the glamorous world of vegetarian dishes. So far she hates all of them! XD More for me! 8D
Apart from tai chi I walk like mad as my primary exercise. Every morning starts with 2 miles, unless it's raining, and then it happens as soon as it's done. 2 miles, before shower or coffee, with my Belgian Shepherd
Then I walk more midday, or run around the dog park for an hour, and then 2 more miles at night with the dog. If I get bored I walk the 2 miles to the nearest shopping plaza and 2 back (provided it's not 100, even I'm not that crazy) I'm also obsessively looking for recipes and ways to make them healthier or more filling (coming up are muesli, mixed-fruit, and protein muffins!)
