New momma starting again

So yes, my baby isn't exactly "new" anymore (being 15 months now) but I am only just now getting back into eating only for myself and finding time to be active again. I basically dropped off MFP completely when I found out I was pregnant but now, especially thanks to my amazing husband, I am more motivated than ever to get back to the grind.

My little man decided he was done with nursing about a month ago so the amazing weight-loss-even-while-eating-everything days are done. My husband has never been a runner but he knew how much I loved it in the days before my time was utterly consumed by baby. I had fallen into such a slump that he knew the best way to get me motivated was to start up himself. I am so proud of him and so thankful for him as well. While I have a prime running build (long legs, short torso) he is the exact opposite. Surprisingly enough, though, he is an awesome runner and I think within a few months he will be running circles around me.

He got me hooked on a new app I had never heard of called RunKeeper and wow... talk about motivation! I absolutely love it and I love running with my husband. Running again has given me a whole new outlook. No matter what, we can find time to do it. Whether it is during a break at work, when the baby goes down (I have a 13 y/o stepson who hangs out in the house while we run when the baby sleeps), or heck even if we bring the baby along in a running stroller we can still do it.

I just found out today I could merge runkeeper with MFP so now I am back to tracking on MFP now as well. I am glad for that because here I can talk to others and check in on other goals as well. I'm a happy girl all around and excited to talk and share stories and trade words of encouragement with fellow fitness freaks again. ;)

Ah yay to having your eating and body back to yourself... My boy is turning 9 months next week and I'm in the process of stopping how much milk I express (unfortunately breastfeeding didn't work out so I've been pumping, pumping and more pumping,,).
I've only this week gotten back into strict logging and reducing my calories and would love to give and receive more support! Ad me if you like :)
