Can I count zero calorie sparkling water sweetened with aspartame toward my water intake? Or is this more like soda?

Soda counts as water too. I don't understand your question.0 -
Water is water. Soda is water and other things. Coffee is water and coffee. Tea is water and tea. Adding other ingredients does not make the water any less watery...lol0

I love sparkling water. It's really the only thing I drink other than when I'm working out, then I drink regular tap water. I love the Clear American brand.... sooooo many flavors!!!0

Yes it counts but you need to watch the caffeine. Caffeine is counterproductive to water intake (it makes you need more) So I would count decaf coffee as water, but regular coffee I would not.
IMO I would try to get to sparkling water with a lime or lemon and get away from the sweetener added.1 -

The diuretic effects of coffee generally are not enough to offset hydration.0 -

I think you may be right. But If I counted it I would drink it all day long .I'm trying to get 128 OZ a day of water. If counted coffee I would have 128 OZ of coffee and that would not be a good amount of caffeine. Soda is loaded with caffeine too.0
