Is there an app for that?

I searched briefly and didn't find what I was looking for but I'm not sure if I was just not searching correctly.

I'd like to lift but only know a few basic exercises. A personal trainer is not an option for a number of reasons and I'm not walking up to a random in the gym to ask for help. I prefer group fitness but the only weights class I can get to is BodyPump and that music makes me want to avoid going. Working out at home with a video wouldn't be reliable, so gym it is.

Bodyshred and PiYo are interesting to me but the classes are during times I'm at work. Is there an app for either that I could take with me to the gym and follow? Or maybe a different program?

Stronglifts has an iPhone and Android app. SL is a solid beginner's program.

2nd the 5X5 SL app, works well. It's all about compound lifts, so easy to start with plus the website has a number of video's on correct techniques for lifts.

For general circuit lifting, you can download ipersonal trainer. I really liked that one. You tell it what you want to focus on that day and it creates a program for you. It changes every time and it keeps track of your previous weights so you can progress.
