Trying to find new ways to live fit...

Hi all,
I've joined mfp hoping to find some new ways to be fit and get healthy since my habits have not kept up with my changing life.
A few years ago I commuted by bike and took long rides on the weekends; I played soccer several times a week; I walked my dog for about an hour every day. I ate whatever I wanted (and fortunately what I wanted wasn't too bad) and looked great.
In the last couple of years we've had a move, a new job, a new baby, and the dog is suddenly 14 and not interested in walking anymore. All of the sudden I find myself getting soft in the middle and breathing hard anytime I have to get moving.
My new life is wonderful, but what was working before just won't work anymore. My wife and I decided to get a better handle on our diet and start exercising again and mfp will be part of our figuring this out. She is also on here, but isn't really into online community. I however, look forward to interacting with other people on here and learning lots from all of you.
