Ok, so it's hubby's birthday on Saturday and he's asked for the ninth series of Supernatural but it's not out yet so what DVD or book should I get him? He loves sci-fi and is a big fan of vampires, zombies and the like.
Favourite shows are Game of Thrones, True Blood, Grimm, Sleepy Hollow... You get the idea.
Suggestions please.

I'm pretty sure Supernatural season 9 came out yesterday.

Ah, yes, caveat, I'm in New Zealand, it's not expected here until Christmas at the earliest.

Can you get him the online version? Or buy an episode online and then pre-purchase everything else?

Oh and is his genre reserved to tv shows, or do you also include movies and books?

If he does anime - Hellising. Great show and it will probably be up his alley.

Movies, books and TV series. He's not into anime but does enjoy kids/teenager movies.

The Dresden Files. Its a UK show based off a series by Jim Butcher (if memory serves) . You can get him the first book and the first season.

...Or if he's willing to read slightly romance- y books, the Sookie Stackhouse series or the Charley Davidson series by D...someone. I can update this later. But if you Google it, you'll find it.

Thanks Johannah, that looks like it could be right up his alley. Fingers crossed the bookstore has it. I'm woefully disorganised.

It's Dyrnada Jones. Or similar spelling.

And he MIGHT like books by Christopher Moore. He has a very dry wit - so it's not for everyone, but it's funny.
