Not sure how long it took me to lose 40, but I lost 60 in about 6-7 months. So I'm guessing about 10 pounds a month, so.. 4 months? I don't have a picture of when I lost 40, but there is a picture on my profile of my starting point and after I lost 65 lbs. I'm 5'6", started at 215 lbs, I am currently 150 lbs.0

I'm really close to hitting that -40lbs mark. I'm currently at -38lbs, and have done it mostly through tracking calories.

I am at almost 40 lbs (-38.2 lost to be exact.) It has taken me just a tad over 3 months. I am hoping to be down by 40 next week.0

I started on January 1 of this year and passed the 40 pound mark at my June 22 weigh-in. I'm at 46.5 pounds lost now and think I'll likely end up going for 10-15 more in the end. Photos are in my profile.0

Okay, everyone here is doing better than I am, lol! I just passed my 30 pound mark and it's been 8 months. I eat about 1350-1400 cal/day and have an occasional cheat meal. I admittedly don't exercise as much as I should, I'm lightly active and walk around 20 minutes a day.0

I am 5' 10" and started weighing myself on February 23, 2014. At first I did 1500 calories a day, exercised at least 90 minutes a week, and ate back half my calories. On March 17, 2014 I decided to increase my calories to 1800 a day, still exercised at least 90 minutes a week, and ate back half my calories. By August 11, 2014 I lost my first 40 pounds. I am still trying to lose another 25 (to date I've lost 44 pounds). I currently eat 1800 calories a day, exercise at least 120 minutes a week (last week I did 519 minutes), and eat back half--or sometimes 2/3--of my calories. My starting weight was 239, my current weight is 195, my first goal weight is 170, and my ultimate goal weight is between 150 and 165, depending on how I look and feel.
I have a group photo shoot scheduled with my book club for November 8, 2014 and plan to compare those photos to the ones I had taken for my 40th birthday.0 -

Don't get caught up in comparing yourself to others. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.0 -
It took me almost seven months at a 1.5 pound per week deficit0
