I'm at the age where I should take vitamins everyday...according to my doc. What daily supplements and vitamins do you all take? Any suggestions? I really just need to take them to stay healthy, in case I have children, etc. Suggestions???

A multi vitamin like centrum is good. It's the most complete vitamin out there. Vitamins A, D, E, K are fat soluble vitamins, so if you have excessive amounts, it can actually hurt you in terms of your kidney's and liver. All other vitamins are water soluble, so if you have too much, you pee it out.
Many people over do the fat soluble vitamins....but my mom is a registered dietician, and she taught me about the fat vs water soluble vitamins.
You may also want calcium.0 -
I take Viactiv Calcium Plus D, which is in a big purple box. I also take One A Day Vitacraves Sour Gummies. I am 25 years old, and I have to take gummies and soft chews (chocolate flavor) because I always get sick when I take the regular tablets. The gummies and the soft chews are not hard on my stomach and I do not get sick from them.0

I skip the multivitamin and instead take omega 3 fish oil and vitamin d. I get everything else i need from my diet. After talking to my doctor, who pretty much told me multivitamins are useless (there is loads of articles out there about this now), i had a blood test to check what i'm actually deficient in, which turned out to be vitmain d. I would highly recommend getting your levels checked. My doctor says he gets so many patients with extremely low vitamin d levels.
btw the average american diet is deficient in the following- Omega 3 fatty acids (We get more omega 6s, and a 1:1 ratio is best) Calcium, and vitamin d.
i also take evening primrose oil which has helped with my dry skin and cramps around that time of the month . I have also noticed that my mood has improved and my nails are stronger after about 3 months on the vitamin d and omega 3 supplements too.0 -
I take One-a-Day Energy Support. I agree that a multivitamin is a good start, then you can tailor any additional supplements to your unique needs.0

I started taking Bluebonnet - Super Earth Multinutrient Formula Supplements 3 pills (1 with morning, lunch, dinner). I selected them at a small health and nutrition store essentially based on the recommendation of the clerk. They seem to be pretty well reviewed online and be big believers in natural ingredients.
Again, I am not a nutritionist, but they seem to be pretty good to me.
