Maintaining Muscle Mass while Cutting

How would you Maintaining Muscle Mass while Cutting? I lift moderate weights and drink protein supplements. The supplement I have is 230 calories with 50 grams protein so it fits in with my diet. I have a calorie deficit of 300-500 calories and do cardio exercise. Is there anything else I can do to maintain muscle mass while burning fat?

PS. I had a sexual joke in there but I'm one or two strikes away from getting banned so I took it off :/
