My HRM shows that my HR goes down quite a bit after a good burp. Seriously. I find it hilarious. Does this happen to anyone else?

lol, thats really funny. I don't see why burping would slow down your heart. I was wondering if maybe burp contorted your body enough to make the pads loose contact with your skin but that doesn't really seem likely.0

Clearly, the build-up of gas causes stress which raises your heart rate. Releasing this gas in the form of a burp also releases the tension and allows the heart to slow back down. You need to repeat this scientific testing with farts next.0
