How to read the Polar FT7?

Hey all, so yesterday I got a polar ft7, and used it for the first time at the gym today. After my workout, (weights today) it showed a calorie burn of nearly 800 in a little over 70 mins..!

So obviously it's tracking my bmr as well as exertion, so was wondering how you go about extrapolating your extra calorie burn (I. E. Calories to log) from what is a mixture of both resting and exertion?

Anyone have any ideas?

I have just been logging mine with the calories burnt during my workout time BUT I'm not using it when I lift. Only when I do my cardio. I've been doing the StrongLifts 5x5 so I'm not lifting very long. For my cardio I typically burn anywhere between 600-750 calories per 50-60 minutes so what you've got sounds right but I've only had mine 2 weeks so I'm not an expert. I know you can log into Polar and track your workouts and put in your zones but I've found that I don't really care if it says I'm in fat burning or fitness, I just wanted something more accurate to put into MFP.

Good luck and sorry I can't be of more help.
