The most weight you should lose in a week is 2 lbs. Not saying you can't, but it's not highly likely to lose the full 10 lbs.

You have almost 5 weeks so I say yes you can!!!! 2 lbs per week is easily obtainable if you eat low cal and stick to your exercise habits. Adjust your MFP settings to lose 2 lbs/wk and just follow your plan strictly. Good luck!

for the last 2 months i have lost 10 lbs each month....through counting calories alone!! I follow the nutrient plan that MFP gives me, and somehow the scale just goes down! I do exercise now, and now that i'm reaching the 30 lbs mark, the weight isn't just falling off anymore. good luck on your weight loss!

If you just started loosing weight, it could happen! I lost about 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks! (I had a large amount of weight to loose) Mostly water weight- but hey the scale moved fast at first!!

Can do it BUT will you continue to eat that way after Jan.30? If you don't eat to a healthy lifestyle will always put the quick weight loss back on. Good luck!

Theoretically it is possible to lose that much in a somewhat healthy manner, but considering your total weight loss goals (14 lbs), I would say it's probably unlikely. It depends a lot on your specific numbers, how much fat you have, and how serious the comittment is. That all said, I don't think this kind of a goal is something you should be hinging your success on. MFP is mainly designed around healthy lifestyle changes, not fast diets for temporary weight loss. IMHO I would tentatively set your goal to something reasonable for your own body, and add other, non-weight related goals so that you don't bet the farm on one specific measurement. I.E. maybe an exercise level goal, or a clothing size or a body size measurement. All good goals to have, ultimately your goal should probably be a body fat % that works for you, but these other goals are fine as well.

In other words, it's fine to want to drop some lbs for your birthday, but most of us like to think of MFP as a tool for a more healthy lifestyle, not just a tool for weight loss. At least that's what I like to base my advice on.

in any case, best of luck to you.

Well all I can do is my best right? If I'm a success il sure to post a reply, once I reach my goal il set a new goal but not to as many lbs, I want to look and feel great so ul be damned I weight the same this time next year. As I am from the uk and me and my better half are looking to fly out to Vegas to tie the knot so that's my goal to be able to get in my dress with no probsxxx
  • Goodluck. The only way to find out is if you try. Give it all you got because you really want it and if you come short by a few pounds atleast you got somewhere which is better than no where.
