I can't figure out why it is that I get so hungry at night! During the day, I eat the recommended amount of calories. Sometimes, I even eat a little bit over what I'm supposed to. Yet as soon as it starts to get dark, I'm suddenly hit with all sorts of cravings! I try so hard to fight them off, and a lot of times I'm able to. But it's just hard, and I can't figure out why this is happening! Does anyone have any idea?

I have trouble with it too. I try to drink a lot of water to fill my stomach and do some kind of activity other than watching tv. I realized I used to sit and want tv and snack at night, so when i changed my habits I was still watching tv and I was mentally thinking something was missing. I had put tv and eating together as a habit.0

I've gotten into the habit of saving some of my calories so that I can have a snack or two in the evenings.
I also drink a lot of decaf tea if I'm just eating out of habit or boredom. It gives me the same kind of hand-to-mouth movement without any calories.0 -
Thirst cravings often masquerade as food cravings. First step is always chug some water. Second, remain strong--in my experience if you are feeling a bit hungry at bedtime you are doing it right and will lose. The pangs tend to subside as you drift to sleep. You wake feeling good and your scale may reward your courage.0
