General question - need some help!

I don't know much about what I should be doing and I do not have any help/support from family/friends which leads me to posting my stupid questions here. I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge lol.
That being said, when I first started MFP, I was on a strict cal limit of 1200/day. After doing research, I learned that it wasn't necessarily healthy to only eat 1200 calories a day. I updated my goals, switched it to lose 1 pound per week and MFP set me at around 1400 a day. Since the switch, I have not been able to lose any weight. In fact, I actually gained 10 pounds. Any suggestions or just any help in general with what I should do?

Plug in your numbers to see what your ideal calories for losing are.

If you're gaining weight, you're probably eating more than your TDEE.
You might try weighing out your portions of food.0
