Tomorrow will be day 1 (it's after 7pm where I live). I wish I had more healthy recipes and ideas for meals. I can't have dairy and have to limit raw veggies due to digestive issues. I am in my mid-30s, a wife, mom and student. I lost a lot of weight and have gained it back. I have 84 lbs to lose and never find. So now I'm trying to keep myself accountable using MFP. Nice to meet you all!

I, too, am a wife, mom and student! Nice to meet you. I've gained about 45 pounds in a short time after having worked so hard to get my weight down to 145. I'm anxious to get it back off before continues to pile on. I'd love to help and encourage you. This stuff is hard and it seems to be another thing to add to an already brimming to-do list.
I'm not sure if you've heard of Paleo but I had wonderful success with that. If you can't have dairy that may be one thing to look into a bit more? Or the mediterranean type of eating? Are there particular veggies that don't have adverse effects? I would dig up some tasty recipes for you:)
I've done Weight Watchers with success but I just can't make meetings with everything else going on in my life. I think that if I take full advantage of the MFP community, I could be successful as well. Nice to find another newbie, so to speak!0 -

Thanks April. Yes, it is another thing on the to-do list! I also lost a ton using WW, but I'm not sure they give you enough calories to be realistic about the plan. I have heard of Paleo. I've tried it, but I get so busy that it is sometimes hard to cook a veggie quickly, cook a meal for lunch, (I often use Lean Cuisines) etc. Maybe I'll give it another shot. I can have almost any veggie if it's cooked. Thanks for the info!0

You look amazing! Once I get about 20 lbs off, I really want to do personal training. It is offered at my school at a reduced rate, but right now I'd be huffing and puffing, and that would just be my walk to the gym! Ha. I added you. Thanks!0
