No potato chips

Day 1-- Today I gave up potato chips. I have done this many times in the past. I have given up Lays, Old Dutch, Humpty Dumpty, Hostess and many, many others. I have given them up one at a time, two at a time etc!!! Today is Day 1. I am making myself accountable. I am giving up all potato chips. I have to include the cruncheez, the sticks and all others that come in those neat little bags. If I just say potato chips I allow myself to have all the other carb snacks.
I acknowledge that I am unable to have a few, I note that I cannot have some now and some later. I am a true salt, crunch addict. Today is Day 1.

Good for you. We all have to give up things we know we don't have control over yet.0

Congrats! I have completely given up any sort of chips from my diet as well. Every time I pass them in the food isle, I want to grab a family pack of chips, but I always keep the strength to resist buying them. They're nothing but empty calories, and cutting them out has definitely helped the weight loss.0

Good job! This has been a "day by day" journey for me-I have to start each day like it is the first day-and remember all I have accomplished to this point! It was hard-but finally gave up Soda and going to Starbucks:( ; I mean-good for me-but those were yummy! However, i am like you-I couldn't have them in moderation-I was definetely not satisfied till every drop was gone! And, that meant more than one can of soda!
You can do it! I promise! Just one day at a time!0 -
I knew I was not the only chip addict out here but it helps:flowerforyou: to actually have others acknowledge it. It also helps to have others give a nod to the "I can't have one" gene. Thank you and knowing that others are doing it does help.0

Good luck! I don't eat chips much, occasionally.0

Good for you. I also gave up chips a while ago because of the empty calories and the sodium content. Instead I eat raw veggies with my sandwich at lunch and I can definitely tell the difference in my weight loss. I still have them but only occasionally and I only have a few.0
