Activity Trackers

I was thinking if buying an activity tracker (like Fitbit). Who uses them?. Which one(s)!work with MFP?

I have the Fitbit One and I love it. It can be linked to your MFP account. I also use a Polar HRM for cardio workouts since the Fitbit does not measure heartrate. In the year that I've had it, my Fitbit reads for cardio seem to have gotten closer to my HRM reads so I trust that it's doing it's job fairly accurately.

Click APPS on the blue menu bar above to see things that interact with MFP.

I have this program and the fitbit app. They don't seem to interact as I had hoped. It doesn't seem to count the calories correctly, and only uses the calories burned after you hit 10,000 steps for the day. So annoying.

That's not really how Fitbit and MFP interact, though with your settings it might be that you don't earn a 'positive adjustment' to your calories based on Fitbit's estimates until you hit about that much activity. But it's all under your control. Change your MFP setting to sedentary and you'll earn Fitbit adjustments sooner, but you'll have fewer 'base MFP calories' to start with, too.
