Has This Happened To You

After I lost around 80 pounds (nearly 7 years ago), some of the people that seemed to be supporting me in my weight loss commitment were now asking me, “Do you really need to lose any more weight?” They supported me in being less fat, but didn’t support me in wanting to continue my efforts of eating responsibly and working out.
Usually these remarks were masked in inauthentic concern for my health and well-being. Eventually, I realized that people will support you only until you become a danger to their egos. So I lost some relationships during this time in my life. I found who my true friends were back then and I have to admit I had to make some tough decisions. I do not regret those decisions I made back then and I am now a much better person for those decisions I made.

hahahah oh I feel you op
before I gained some of the weight I lost back, people told me I was "unhealthy" and being stupid for not eating dairy and I was hurting my body ( Im actually extremely lactose intolerant).
When I look back at it now, it was people who still haven't committed to working out or eating right 2 years later, the same people who are know jealous and being rude again two years later.
Heres the thing though, I have visible muscle tone which means im not under eating ( I know im not personally), and I feel amazing.
Don't let people get you down, trust me for some strange reason envy is a huge thing with weight loss.0 -
Yep. I don't mind people who aren't actively supportive but I will never understand the people who actively discourage me.0
