pool running

OK experts out there. Help me out. I am currently starting a pool running regimen while my dreaded plantar fasciitis heals. I have read about calorie burns, but it's not in the database. I haven't been running for 3 months, so today was more about learning form and getting the feel for it. I did not get a cadence over what was listed as a "warm up," although it was quite a workout.
Ideas? Thanks in advance,

maybe you could get your heart rate and calculate from there using something like this?

I can't say I do this but my best thought is to try and do regular checks of your heart rate and use an online calculator to at least get an estimated burn. It would only be a rough estimate, but it would give you something.... Obviously an actual heart rate monitor is going to be out of the question, so that's my best idea.0

I log mine under Water Jogging. Although the calorie counts seem a bit high.0
