Hungry Horrors

I need motivation/suggestions to get back on track! I lost 30lbs last year and I am terrified that I will gain it back! I have worked so hard and come so far, but I can totally understand how people do gain the weight back..I have not been logging in my food or exercise for awhile now, but was still maintaining and even lost a couple of pounds..even up till last week..then Xmas came and after two or three days of eating badly, I feel like I have the hungry horrors all the time now! I have gained 2 lbs..I don't want to gain any more! I know it is that my stomach got used to being stuffed for a couple of days...I know that by eating sugar and other fatty foods, my body now craves them more..I know that having these foods in the house and at work makes it harder to resist them..I know that I need to go back to eating clean and exercising, but I need something to kick my butt back into gear.. I have almost cleaned out the house of the sweets, but I am finding myself hungry all the time..I have to be in work earlier for much of the week, so my exercise routine is off...Is anyone else going through this? Any words of wisdom on how to get back on track would be so appreciated!

I know for me, once off track, I just have to force myself out the door or just turn that workout dvd on. Just do it! Normally my eating habits fall back into place with that simple (simple but hard as hell once I'm off track) discipline. Bringing alternative, good for you, snacks/treats to work might help too.

I am up early and going to do my weight training before work and go in a bit later (it is school vacation week and today my husband is home with the kids so I can just work a bit later) and then when I get home, we will all go to the Y for some cardio time! I have been pretty good about the exercise..just missed yesterday, but you are right about the exercise helping with the clean eating. When you work out hard, you don't crave the junk as much..Gained another lb, so hopefully that will help give me the jolt I need to get back on the healthy train..I ordered a Clean Eating cook book last night, so can't wait for that to come and wrote down some goals..I will start tracking my food intake again...I do bring my own lunch and snacks to work, but the cookies I brought in are right there next to my space..today I think that I will move them down a bit...out of sight, out of mind..Well, gotta go do my Chalene Extreme...keep the motivational tips coming! I need it!!! Thanks!!

If you feel you're going off track, just start logging again for a month.

There are also maintenance threads on the forums, which may provide support for you.
