So this week I have tracked all my calories but am over my weekly cals by quite a bit due to a few indulgences here and there. I won't be making a habit of this but am wondering how much this would have an effect on my weight loss? I usually just have a cheat free day where I don't count calories but have decided to just save these days for special ocassions (happens probs once a month if that) but feel like although I have tracked this week being quite a bit over will hinder my weight loss even more. I am hoping next week though to lower my cals in compensation. Will this help?

You're not really asking a clear question. Obviously eating over your calories will effect your weight loss (presuming you've logged accurately). How much depends on a heap of variables, how much over you were, how much you've got to lose, how much you burned off etc. Personally I think lowering your calories next week in compensation is a bad idea but I guess that really depends on your personality. Why not just move on and stop dwelling on it?0

you need to be 3500 calories over and above your TDEE calories (i.e. your maintenance calories) to gain just 1lb of fat. If you ate *at* your TDEE calories (remember your calorie goal is at a deficit so you have to be over quite a bit before you get to your TDEE calorie level) then your weight will stay the same. If you're still under your TDEE, even though you're above your goal (deficit) calories, then you will lose weight, just not as much.
So the most likely scenario if you're not over by that much is losing less than expected or not losing at all this week. i.e. not likely to have done any damage, just slowed progress a little. Be stricter next week and the weight loss will continue.0
