New metric for progress

While I'm really motivated by my vanity in wanting to look better, one measurement that I've been taking pretty consistantly probably means more than lost pounds and inches. That's my blood pressure. Before I started this journey a month and a half ago, my blood pressure was regularly around 150/90. With just losing 10 lbs. and exercising my blood pressure is more like 120/75. Can't wait to see what happens next. Anyway, I'd encourage people to start looking at other health numbers besides the scale or the tape measure. Good wishes to all!

i totally agree with you, we do get caught up with the scale and forget that it 's better health that we seek. by exercising & eating properly your whole life will change; i know diabetes runs in my family and i truly concentrate on what i eat and ensure that i work out because i can recall the first time my doc told me that my A1C was high and never again. more power 2u, keep it up & i wish you all the best.0
