Question about Gym and running on same day

Hi All, I am a newbie runner. Based on motivation from MFP, I ran last week and got good running shoes from a running store yesterday. I shocked myself today by doing two 0.5 mile laps with a 0.25 mile walk in between. I'm stoked now and want to improve my distance and speed. I've always thought of myself as a terrible runner.
The thing is I've found a wonderful fitness center that does bootcamp/HIIT and I go there 4 times during the week days. Can I run the same days as I do the bootcamp? The bootcamp is a combination of strength and cardio for 1 hr. Or do I do the running on my rest/recovery days? In which case, I really have no recovery time. On the other hand I only run for 30 minutes (including the walking) but hopefully the duration will increase.

It's fine- just a lot of cardio.
you'll need some recovery time at some point- but if you aren't running that much (i.e. training hard for an event) you're body should be fine- just listen to it.
I can double up some of my workouts on some days- but on other days I just need to do the lift and get home. Listen to your body- not the lazy part- but the one that says- YES I"M ACTUALLY TIRED. (there is a difference LOL)
but you should be fine.0 -
I'd do it on the off days, you said you did bootcamp 4 days a week? You could start off by running twice weekly 9still reap the benefits but slightly slower progress, all depending) and have the one rest day OR if you REALLY want to run on the same day you hit the gym, give it a few hours between workouts to rest and refuel. Ideally 4-5 to refuel/hydrate adequately when you'll get to running longer but 3 hours is also doable. If you haven't been doing this already I'd put in some good stretching and up your protein intake to help with recovery if your intake is low0

I'd say do it twice a tweek on off days from the bootcamp.0
