Seriously screwed up

Started working, retail hours, I haven't worked in about 5years. My schedule is all blown away, and I feel really screwed up.
I have been binging for 7 days now, I guess it's binging and I was so close to my goal of 109 at 112, pretty close. Well this week I'm sure I will be like 116. Just concerned of what damage I have done. Everyday I've said tomorrow I will start eating healthy again, tomorrow comes and same thing day after day. I don't think I have ever binged like this before (I guess this is biniging). Every evening I have a large bowl of ice cream,a couple nights I slipped large slice of chocolate cake under the icecream. Even while I'm eating this I say it will be ok, I'll make up for it in a fasting day or two. That hasn't helped.
So I am telling myself stick with my allotted calories period. But what if I don't listen again tomorrow. I not talking alittle over I'm over my 7500 a week for 12669 this week. Stepped on the scale mid day today and saw 116. That's 4 hard working lbs. has this happened to you, if so what did you do about it, how was the outcome?

You got some stress in your life. Find someone close to you and tell them what is bothering you.

IME I never binge from hey I like to eat alot. It was usually emotional eating for problems that I still work through.

At least you are aware that you are doing this. That's a good sign..make sure you enjoy your treats..really be in the present and taste what you are eating!

I'm sure I could be eating from stress, but I have someone to talk to, I see my therapist once a week and we talk about everything. I really feel lost. I have to eat more often than how I am now, skipping a meal here and there, eating junk cause I'm too lazy to look past the tired feeling and overcome it. So I eat that way, never planned, just in spur of the moment.
    I'm really scared.
But thank you for your advice, truly appreciate it.

"Stepped on the scale mid day today"

Dont do that. Only weight that counts even a little is first thing in the morning, after peeing and naked. Anything else will be all over the place. And seriously, 4 pounds could be just water weight even if you saw it first thing in the morning. Stressing over it certainly wont change anything at all, unless you let it. You cant change the past, so ... what are you going to do about it *now*? either stop what you are doing, or keep on doing it. You make the choice every moment, every day. If you make the wrong choice, you get about a million more chances to make the right one next time.

And take a long hard look at your overall plan. Binging, and making up for it with a fast day is not a sustainable lifestyle or even a good idea. Figure out a plan that is reasonable, healthy, safe, and work towards that. You dont have to be perfect day 1, or every day. But disordered thinking and planning to do something unreasonable is a recipe for failure.

You already know roughly what weight you might have gained. At some stage you need to write it down and ynderstand whats causing the binge, what the binge is doing for you and how I imagine its preventing you from reaching goal. If you cnat stop completely then see if you can limit it by portion control until you get a grip. I dont binge myself, well not yet, but dont panic its still only a fraction of what youve lost already and you know the worst of the damage. 4lb is a 2-4 weeks loss notwithstanding fluctuation. Its not the end of the world and now you have no choice when your binge ends to deal with it eventually.

Try and tackle the stress causers, especially enough sleep.

If you really want to try then you ccpuld remove all that binge food so its not there when you get home, ofc you vould just go and buy more.

Just control the bing by only eating half the amount.

Go straight on MFP when you get home and utilise support from your friends.

Its probably stress, so use some of the other non food eating stress techniques, warm bubble bath, go and see friends, watch a nice film etc. When you are ready you will be able to reaffirm why you wnat to lose weight and that youve only gone backwards a bit if at all. Dont panic and beat yourself up about it as thats pointless, do chill out get some objectivity and talk yourself down.

Thank you, I hope I won't need so many chances, but it sure is a good way to
    Look at it.
  • From what I see, you need to prepare your meals perhaps and put them in those plastic or glass containers that can fit healthy foods, and as for snacks, buy yourself a huge thing of nuts and some dark chocolate with cacao. And also bring bananas and apples with you to work. That stuff will definitely help you prevent from eating well. Good luck in life okay! :)

Have you said that your total goal for the week is 7500 calories?!

Yes I have learned to tame it, for now at least. I've been back on track since yesterday. This is really scary, and the fact that it seems to come up from nowhere, makes it even more scary

Yes I did. And so far that has been working, like two lbs a week. And some weeks with nothing, when I came into a platue.

Change your mindset. Instead of thinking how bad you ****ed up think about how bad you'll be if you don't change your routine. Forgive yourself for the past mistake and aim to work your best starting tomorrow. No ****ing exceptions.

well, if you're really eating that little, there's a clue as to why you're over eating now. At your weight, you should not be aiming for 2 lbs per week - it's too aggressive.

Most likely the tired feeling is coming from the things you're eating now. You MUST stop the cycle. Promise yourself you'll eat healthy for one day and do it. Don't fast. Just eat reasonably. Then go from there.

If you are really eating that little, and working in retail, you are going to feel like crap/binge/etc. You need to eat at a more reasonable deficit, such as .5lb a week, being so close to your goal weight...

-Have you thought about doing some exercise to help relieve the stress, and also will help chip away at those extra calories that you have eaten?
-Try having a large glass of water every time you feel the urge to binge, wait 5 minutes and see if you still need what you thought you needed
-Don't have the high carb/sugar foods in the house, you can't eat junk if it isn't their to grab when you are in a tired state.
-Someone else suggested plastic containers of prepared meals, these are great for when you are exhausted. Have a big cookup on the weekend and stock up the freezer, ready to grab when you are tired and hungry after work.
Hope these suggestions help, all the best.!

Going from 7500 to 12000 calories for the weeks isn't called bingeing, it's called eating a normal amount of calories. Maaaaaaybe, given your low bodyweight, it's a slightly over maintenance, but even that's dubious given your recently increased activity level.

You seem to be in a cycle of binging and restricting. Every few weeks you post that you've fallen off the wagon and can't control your eating. Maybe your body is trying to tell you that it can't get by on 900 calories per day. There's really no reason to eat so low, as I've told you many many times before.

You said this came up out of nowhere, but I think it's your body panicking because it's been forced into a borderline starvation mode. Even on Biggest Loser, the most famous weight loss show for people whose lives are in danger because of their weight, they still eat at least 1200 calories a day because anything less is risking depriving your body of essential nutrients!

Please consult a healthcare professional asap because the excessively restricted number of calories that you're holding onto is NOT a healthy or sustainable lifestyle. Is reaching your goal weight by any means more important to you than your health? If your answer is yes then I think you need to have a very serious conversation with a therapist about why the number on the scale matters more to you than true health does.

    Good luck!

Yesterday was the first time in a week or two that I didn't overheat anything, and esp not icecream or baked goods. I haven't weighed myself and measured the last two weeks cause I'm afraid what it might be real bad. I was supposed to go to Wegmans today and pick up my food for the week, but started my first errand at noon and didn't finish that til 6:30. It's kinda guard I don't have another day off til next sun or Tuesday. I'm gonna have to squeeze the trip in real fast. If I have healthy foods here, then the other calorie filled other foods don't look so good to me. This is how my food diary looked today:
    2 eggs sunny side up
    1 slice Ezekiel toast
2 tbls of Kerry Irish butter
1 12" turkey provolone Lettuce t and tomato sub
And here's where I blew it, again. I bought two cookies from subway, after he told me there special I got six more. Ate one while at the mall, came home and ate four more. But if that wasn't enough, mom wanted to stop and get a Yolaavie frozen yogurt I drowned myself in that too. Kept thinking I already went up at least two lbs, another bad day won't hurt. Bit the truth is my stomach looks bigger and I don't have that light feeling I was beginning to have. My sons wedding is nov 13th and I had wanted to be 109 and maintaining by then, now u don't know if I will make it at around 115, I had myself down to 112 several days ago. Wow it doesn't take much to change in the wrong direction.
I'm really scared and want and need to get back on track. Thanks for taking time to look at my problem, hopefully I will get some replies with advice, and maybe some foods I should pick up for the rest of the week, easy foods for at work as I'm either there thru lunch or dinner sometimes breakfast too. We have no microwave there either. Started with weights yesterday, and my plan is to do them three times a week.

Ummmm. That is not binging. That is eating normal, and still missing a meal. Yesterday *I* ate:

    2 eggs
    2slices of toast
    2 scoops of protein
2 handfuls of jelly beans (post workout carb load)
    Bowl of mushroom soup
    Grilled cheese sandwich
    Protein bar
Coffee with cream and a small amount of choc ice cream
Fried chicken sandwich with caramelized onions, Gouda cheese and bacon.

This is my typical maintenance volume of food. Its around 2200-2400 calories. You need to seek medical intervention if you are around 109 lbs and trying to eat under 1200 calories a day. You need to GAIN 2lbs, not lose it.
