I'm TIRED OF THIS WEIGHT!!!

I'm about 20 years old, male and am sick of this weight. I use to be around 175 pounds in 2012, my weight crept upon me when I had family problems and it seems it is here to stay. I need help. My financial situation isn't great, I'm going to school and I have a job that is just so boring and doesn't help pay the bills for that matter. What can I do to prevent my cravings. And what can I do to stop them. I ruled out that I need to turn down events as of now to hangout with friends, and I need to stop eating junk. But what other tips help? Like how can I convince my mother whom I live with to also not buy the food whom also needs to lose weight. I would appreciate your strategies. I weight lifted since I was in 7th grade and I just need the help!!! :-D (I have my journal PUBLIC).

    Wellp, I looked through your diary and I am seeing a lot of wonderbread and mayo. Perhaps you can switch to buying bread with nutritional value? That way even though you're still consuming carbs and calories, you'll be getting a real nutritional benefit instead of a filler substance in your body. I also suggest finding a different condiment, like a dressing or something that isn't as blatantly harmful as mayo. Perhaps you'd prefer a sprinkle of garlic powder, or a marinara?

    Junk food is not the devil, it's okay to love potato chips and oreos! I eat macaroni and nutella because I like it, and you shouldn't deprive yourself of what tastes good. However, it takes a LOT of discipline about portion sizes. It's all about the portions. If your calorie count can allow for a treat, that's wonderful. That just means you have done well for the day, and can have a special snack. But if you find yourself struggling with junk food, I suggest sticking to your macros like crazy. If your calories say it's okay to eat that oreo but your fats are maxed out for the day, put it down. It's hard, but it will make you feel better when you look in the mirror one day.

    As for your mom, you're never going to tell her that she needs to lose weight. She probably knows it, and doesn't want to hear it. You can hope that your success will lead to her eventual lifestyle change, but that's it.

    My recommendation:

    dont work while in school. use grants and loans. That is what I am doing. What are you studying, and what do you want to do?

    I decided that you only have so much brain power. If you have to dedicate too much time in your job, you will see it reflect in your schooling. Loans are loans....I get it. Everyone fears getting into debt. But to me, it is just money. However, I am going into the public sector and am going to be teaching physical science, so after about 5 years of paying student loans, the government will pay off the rest. This allows me to go to school full time. I have one job.....get an A. But the rest of the time is mine. I can work out as much as I want...I can afford to eat right and keep the lights on. I live within my means, as I am using my school funds to do it. But you can bet that I am not stressed one bit.

    What is your situation like? What are you going to school for?
