As part of the boot camp I am doing we have PFT tests in the beginning of the session and at the end of the session to track your progress. Today we had to run laps around the track to see if we improved. We are timed at 30 minutes. This morning I ran 12 laps (3 miles) in about 31 minutes. I improved from 9.25 laps about five weeks ago. I am very excited about this because when I first started I hated running and now it gets easier each time I do it. Maybe now I can finish that 5k in under and hour.

That is awesome! Running is definately an "acquired taste". I used to hate running, but have learned to love it! I'm sure you will hit your goal for that 5K!

if you ran 12 laps in an olympic standard track in 31 minutes, then you most certainly can do the 5K in under an hour, more like 33 or 34 minutes.

    Gratz!:drinker:
