Fitness program and eating plan help!!!

Hey all

Been heck of a while since been online and at stage where biting the bullet. Really appreciate your help

I've about 70lb to lose, and ideally would like to achieve weight loss, not necessary that amount by March 15 as have bridesmaid dress to get into.

I've started back at the gym after many years away and my program consists of;-

60 mins treadmill, inclines between 3-5, speed of 5.5 km varying intensity every minute.

Restarted back on x trainer for 15 mins and looking to do bike 5-10 mins

Does that sound too excessive? Feel need to for best results in march. Unfortunately I know left it as too much to do in short space of time.

Also really unsure what eating plan to follow with regards to the above. So confused as really need this to work. Been watching calories but not stringently but toying with the WW plan of points or new free foods on

Really would appreciate some guidance and make sure on right track

Lou xx

    hi ,
    sounds like a great start.
    as a total newb to both mfp and the gym just 11 weeks ago the following is working for me;

fill in profile to get daily calorie guideline. i eat what i want within my calorie goal but have learned so much about what my by needs over simple taste/ desire.
log your exercise to see daily/ weekly calorie defecit.
post in the uk sub forum to find like minded friends on the same journey and time zone.
open your diary in profile so peeps can give you positive feedback.
    hope this all helps.
ps friend request sent to get you started.
    g luck

Sounds great for health, but weight loss starts in the kitchen.

There are topics in the community section here that are very informative.

Go to community>> getting started>>> the guide to getting you started on your path to sexy pants.

There is information here to help you come up with a plan for both nutrition and exercise.

    Weight loss is your nutrition.
    Exercise is your fitness.

You must put yourself in a caloric deficit to lose weight. That's where exercise comes in. Otherwise it's your nutrition that will cause you to gain or lose weight.

I find calorie-counting far more flexible than Weight Watchers. Plus, it's free. I've lost three dress sizes in 6 months by stringently watching my calories
