Just looking for a few friends

Relatively new to MFP, started a while ago, quit, and now trying it again. I am not what you would call computer savvy, but figured I'd try new things. Been reading some of the success stories on here and you all got me motivated to throw my hat in the ring. Just looking for a few friends along the way. My biggest problems are late night TV/snacking and making up excuses to run through the drive through over lunch. I usually do pretty good and then sabotage myself somehow. Hoping that doing this will help keep me honest with myself and motivated to skip all the junk.

Write down the bad habits that you need to eliminate and set that as your goal, then start implementing them one by one. As for your late night habits, (not so sure what your sleeping habits are like) a good workout before bedtime usually puts you right to bed soon after. Welcome back by the way. You can add me as a friend.

    Hi!
I'm very new to the site and just now starting my weight loss plan. I immediately found that if you log your calories in as you eat them--right after meals and snacks, then you can see how many calories you have left to 'spend' on those late night snacks. I'm a late night nibbler myself and like to save a couple of hundred calories to get me through the night. Also, when I'm logging immediately, I've been less inclined to grab things and I've been choosing better quality snacks.

Also, if you exercise over your regular daily activity level, when you log that in, MFP will add those calories to your daily allowance. That's not part of my plan right now, but many find it motivation to start some exercise routine.
