Hi everyone,
I recently started my weight loss journey again 3 and a half weeks ago. I was so happy I was able to lose 3 pounds-it started boosting my confidence. I did this through step aerobics and yoga and I generally eat healthy and good portions. However, recently THIS week, I slowly noticed the scale creeping up. it's so close to bringing me back up to the weight I was before the 3 pounds. It is definitely discouraging. I know the scale will go up and down because thats what it did for these 3 weeks, but it keeps going up. I am not doing anything that much differently. I just don't understand why this is happening..Has it happened to anyone ? PS. I am a female, & this is not the "time of the month" or the week before it, so it can't be bloating. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If it's only been a week, it's probably nothing to worry about.
Are you tracking your foods and staying within your calorie goals?
Any extra sodium this week? Extra carbs? Increased exercise or general activity? Changes in your sleeping patterns? Stress?
There are a lot of things that can cause your body to retain a little extra water weight. Drink plenty of fluids and give your body a little more time to see if it adjusts.0 -
Re: TOM, I gain the week of ovulation, not the week of menstruation or the preceding week. Others' experience may give you some insight, but tracking your own body's patterns will yield the most helpful insight about you. Three weeks isn't long enough to see the whole picture, IMHO.0

Thanks girls
I do plan to continue exercising and eating moderately healthy as there would be no point in quitting now. they say it takes 4 weeks to notice a difference in yourself, 8 for friends and family, & 12 for the rest of the world (doctors, acquaintances, etc.). so I am just sticking to that quote for motivation. plus If i quit now, I am just going to restart my "weight loss journey" again in a week so minus will "start" or "continue" now.
also, there was no change in my diet. i have sugar problems so my diet pretty much stays the same. i have noticed pain on my left side of my abdomen though, could this have anything to do with it?0
