Are you openly or subconsciously hoping for more attention from the opposite sex (or same NTTAWWT) with your weight loss? Either to meet someone, just show off your new bod, doing a divorce diet or high school reunion?

I have no clue what NTTAWWT means.. It may sound vain but yes, I want to look great in a 2 piece swim suit and I want guys to notice. I am married, but still like attention from others. Makes the hard work worth it I guess.
ETA: I am no where near looking good in a 2 piece but when that time comes.. yes I want the attention.0 -

NTTAWWT = Not that there's anything wrong with that0 -
nope. I feel all kinds of awk when I get male attention that I didn't before. And my high school reunion is next summer (20 years) but there is not one single soul I wanna impress. Truly I'm that woman who thinks her husband is the epitome of sexiness. Gag, I know.0
-
Absolutely. The more fun, crazy, flirty, pervy comments, the better.0

I think if I lost enough to wear a bikini, I would get a LOT more attention.0
-
sure. why not?
I've always been in decent shape. I'm OK with where I am. Any extra effort I did were all to impress the others.0 -

I've had a couple "looks" and smiles recently, totally innocent, but it felt nice to be noticed. I got my 25th reunion next year but like you, not really interested in seeing 99.9% of those people.0 -

Yeah I have pretty much seen 'em all on facebook by now so anyone I want to impress even slightly (women I knew when we were girls) I've already checked that off my list...haha.0 -

I was just thinking the other day, that Facebook is almost making HS reunions uncecessary. I am not sure I am going to even attend mine.0 -
Not necessarily looking for it, but appreciating it when it happens. It's one more confirmation that I'm on the right track with my fitness plan. But, I don't think that the attention comes just from the weight loss/body shaping. As your confidence grows, so does your swag, which is definitely attractive.0

Not looking, but I'm noticing more attention.
Of course, maybe I'm just noticing it more because I'm now single-ish?
I am wearing skirts and dresses more because my pants don't fit properly, which means I'm pairing them with my stilettos - so that could have something to do with it too...0 -
I don't know what your post is about but OP you have a great profile name0

As a red blooded American male, I can tell you that will 1000% get you more attention. :bigsmile:0 -

I agree, I feel so much more confident now. Fitting in your clothes properly does wonders for the confidence.0 -
Oh hell no because I feel awkward already if a guy notices me. Now if my boyfriend thinks I'm hot then I'm all for that, but no to the other guys.0

I'm strange. Being gawked at makes me feel uncomfortable if it's while I'm walking down the street, but I know that getting gawked at means they find me attractive. Ultimately I only care if my husband finds me attractive, but subconsciously it's nice to know others notice. Overall, I would say I don't really give a damn, lol.0
-
I don't like being gawked at either, but I do want my husband to enjoy my weight loss, I'm doing it for me, he loves me and thinks I'm beautiful the way I am now, but I bet he will relish in my extra energy and more flexibility when I get to my goal weight, so I guess I'm doing it for us. Either way hell yes I want the extra attention, from him only though, couldn't care less about what anyone else notices.0

I don't get any attention IRL. Online I do and I don't mind it, but it's not "real."0

Agree totaly, my husdand likes what he sees and thats the real deal. When you meet new people they do not know the changes you are makingbut do treat you very different than the fatter version 40 lbs ago. I have had glances from men and women and it just confirms to me how strangers prejudge the heavier people out there. Agree with Facebook, everyone is already there, and the desire to go to a class reunion pretty much disapates.I am changing myself for the health benefits and the weight loss is an added bonus.0 -
I have noticed something from female friends, family, etc., women seem to think getting attention from other men and women is wrong. I wasn't kidding when I said I'm strange. I model part time, and it's not always fully clothed. That gets A LOT of attention. Again, it's one of those things I do for myself and my husband (he likes seeing my work) but I don't feel the need to assert that I only want it from my him, because that's never going to be the case. I think we should all get used to, and enjoy getting RESPECTFUL attention from others as well. I'm the first person to flip someone off if they're just being gross. When we learn to use it to our benefit, it can also have some esteem boosting effects.0

Maybe it's different for ladies but I might look at a nice looking lady and smile. Is that really gawking? If I catch a lady taking a glance at me (for some reason), I take that as a compliment. Maybe ladies don't really "gawk" unless they are at a chip n dales performance.0 -

I dont know about that. I gawk at men if I am attracted to them..0 -

I don't consider smiling gawking. I consider oogling my boobs and my *kitten* gawking.0 -
Am I doing it for attention? No. Do I mind the attention? No0

Gawking and glancing with a smile are two different things. Gawking makes a woman feel like they're being undressed. It doesn't make a woman feel appreciated, it makes her feel uncomfortable. You may not know what I mean, but some men look at women and you can pretty much tell what it is they're thinking. It's beyond admiring her physical appearance, it's staring to the point where she knows you want to *kitten* her (I use this term because it's not meant to feel proper)
I often look at both men and women I find attractive, but it's not a seedy "oh the things I'd do to you" thing. It's a genuine admiration for their physical appearance.0 -
Nope. I hate being flirted with. Online it's just stupid - what's the point of swapping "cutesy" responses with someone just for the same of doing it? It's empty and not flattering. In person...it's stupid. I'm married and wearing a wedding ring. It's NOT flattering.
However if my husband flirts with me then game on!0 -
Sure. I'd even give a damn if it's from guys I'm interested in.0
