Deficit, Surplus or Maintenance?

Hi, hoping someone might be able to help me as I've got myself into a bit of a pickle about how much I should be eating!
I've reached my goal weight (119lbs - I'm 5' 2" female) and now want to get fitter. I have started doing bodyweight exercises and some stuff for my abs and am starting a Pilates class this week to help with my scoliosis.
Although this is all primarily about me getting fitter, I would also like to shed bodyfat (as opposed to weight - if that's even possible!) and herein lies my problem. Should I be eating with a deficit to shed fat, surplus to build muscle or at maintenance?
Thanks x
