    Setting on the deck of an aircraft carrier out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean looking at a cloudless night sky. Sunsets and sunrises are pretty amazing too.

    Looking through a big telescope and seeing the sky for what it is: distant objects that blow your mind, not a ceiling of little twinkling lights.

    walking around the total rubble of your tornado-stricken home and finding your new sneakers (dry and clean in the box) and your collection of recipes still legible. Gives you a new appreciation for little things.

    (obviously I don't wish everyone would lose their homes in tornadoes though)
