Hi!
so a little back story. i have a physical job. nightfiller. 5 days a week earn over 5000 cals through the workout i get through that.
because of this, i REALLY dont want to do exercise on my days off and i usually dont really do much (litterally)
should i keep the the 1900 cals a day i am sposed to have, on my days off? or should i eat less?
hope its not a silly question! thanks

The net difference of caloric intake versus burn is the bottom line. On your days off, if you are largely sedentary, then you will need to eat less to make sure your net difference is under goal.0

Are you using an activity monitor or step counter?
(For comparison a recent 5 hour, very hilly, cycle ride came to approx 2800 calories for me.)
To answer your question - if you have a very physical job then it makes perfect sense to eat more on the days when you are very active and less on days off.
The activity level setting usually takes care of people's lifestyle & job calorie needs but that would push you down the route of similar calories every day (working or not). Taking a weekly view of calories may be an idea for you. As with all of this "game" you need to be consistent for a while with whatever method you adopt and make adjustments based on actual results. Just make sure your goals and expectations are reasonable!0 -

set your activity level to active and net that figure each day. tweak up or down after 6 weeks if the results arent what you expect.0 -
i also have a similar job, and since I've been doing it for so many years, my Dr. said that for MY particular body, it's adjusted and that's my normal. He also said, that if you're doing that same type of job, day in and day out, you're going to have to exercise MORE than the average person, because your body adjusts to that lifestyle/ energy burn and movements, and uses energy more efficiently.
I hate it. I don't WANT to go to the gym after alllll that work, but it's the only way I get results.
Good luck0 -
