Howdy everyone,
I have been using the MyFitnessPal off and on for a couple of years but only recently have I REALLY gotten serious. I am resolved to be the healthiest me that I can be.
I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis 4 years ago and was bedridden and could not walk for 55 days. For those unfamilar with this form of arthritis, it is just as excruciating as Rheumatoid Arthritis and can deform your joints in much the same way as RA. I have other medical problems and I am disabled so this was just another physically and emotional devastation. Especially since I am fairly young and have much life ahead of me (God willing).
When one is in pain ALL THE TIME, it is hard to get motivated to move. To MOVE HURTS so you take the 'less painful route' and be still.. do NOTHING... By having this attitude, I gained weight. Of course this is NOT good because gaining weight puts a lot of pressure and strain on our joints. :noway:
After 'four' years of being depressed and afraid of being in even more pain, I am RESOLVED to be the healthiest me that I CAN BE.
I have five friends on my fitness pal app and only one is active (kind of). So I would LOVE to help motivate and be motivated by "SERIOUS" weight loss pals. :flowerforyou:
I have gone from 'Sedentary to moderately active now" and just this little bit has made a huge difference.
I have logged in for over 45 days in a row, lost 17 pounds and have lost 2 inches in my waist and hips. I am finally fitting into my clothes more comfortably again.
I look forward to making some friends...
Peace & Blessings,
Kygator
