Is it true that losing weight improves skin elasticity?

I hear or read somewhere that as a person loses weight, their skin tightens in the process. It would be awesome if my skin could regain some firmness, all over my body in general. I don't know if this happens, or if, as you lose weight, your skin stays the same.

Skin does not always tighten up as when you lose weight. Depending on how much weight you lost, your age, your musculature, etc, you may have very little loose skin or you might have incredibly bad loose skin. There is little you can do to make the skin tighten again. Giving it time (years) is the best medicine besides surgery. Some cases will not get better without surgery.0
