I might be appearing on a TV show and I am currently chunky.... Any tips on what to wear so I don't look like a blimp?! They are filming me next week...... I am so paranoid of looking HUGE on television- I don't want to look bigger than I already do.....

  • Body con dresses if you are a dress person, my inspiration is Kate Winslet she's always maintained a decent figure, has curves and knows how to dress them.

    Black.

Stuff that's body-skimming but not body-hugging. Structured stuff rather than stretchy and thin, you know?

Sleeves - arms are often a giveaway, haha.

Pull your hair back (if it's long enough) to elongate your neck, which make you look thinner too. A v-neck will help with that as well.

The highest heels you can walk comfortably in are helpful.

proper body shape ware will help create a nice shape under whatever you're wearing.

Usually no black or white or red because of the lighting and cameras. Black looks harsh. White makes you look bigger. Grey is o.k. in a suit with a pastel color blouse.
If you have watched the program before you have an idea of the expectation. You could even contact them ahead of time for some suggestions --especially with regarding to lighting. For example, shiny jewelry is distracting.
