I found this site by accident and I love that I can enter my food daily. I currently live in North Carolina but am originally from Brooklyn, NY. We have been here for 3 years and I have gained at least 30 pounds. I was so used to walking everywhere in NY and here we have to drive to even the supermarket. Combined with no walking,,no friends and family the weight came on fast.
I am 5ft female and 174 pounds. I have recently lost 15 pounds and hope to lose 40 more by June for my daughters HS graduation. I have not been in any family pictures in 3 years! Not a bday party or even trips to the beach. I hate the way that I look and I am so ready to be me again. I don't have any support here in NC so I hope to find some on this site. My biggest problem is I get bored of the same old food fast. I love to cook so if anyone has any recipes please share. Just no fish, or mushrooms!

Welcome!! I am new here too-joined last night and this is day #1 for me. Where in NC are you? I am in Richmond, VA. I lost a ton of weight logging online at another site after my 2yo daughter was born. I am a runner and hoping with running and logging my food intake that I will lose 15 pounds. I think this site will help us for sure! Welcome again, I also hope to find some nice support here too. Anne0

Hi Anne,
I am in Charlotte, NC. I hope this site helps as well. I miss all my walking I did from back home. I belong to a gym now so my walking is on the treadmill. I need to get some good recipes to add and hopefully the weight will come off. I don't want to turn to any of the diet pills but I keep looking at the Jillian Michaels stuff but it all scares me.0 -
I just recently found this site and I think its great! First of all congrats on everyone losing the weight. Dan has the right outlook and Kudos to you Dan. It definitely needs to be a lifestyle change and not just a diet. The math is pretty simple. Just make sure that you are exercising too. And no excuses. I guarantee if you just run in place with your hands stretch out at the waist and start touching your knees to them for even 3 minutes a day you will see the lbs start to come off. Set goals depending on your weight. I was at the heaviest I had ever been. We can all do it if we work together. Lets make some other country be the fattest country!!!! Congrats to everyone and support is around the corner. Florida here.0

Hi-Charlotte is a nice place but yes that is a change from NYC where you can walk a lot. Gym membership is the best. Just remember to change it up a bit. I love spinning at the gym and I like to do that combined with running and some strength training. I will friend you as well. :-_) Anne0
