Adapting to injuries

Just a reminder that excuses only hurt yourself. 22 days ago I broke my hand in a mtn biking accident. This effectively ended my 3x a week lifting plan for the next 6 weeks. I am on day 22 of only Cardio (with Hiit) and some Core work that I can do without further injuring the hand. In the last 22 days Ive lost 8lbs, which I think is due to watching diet more seriously and putting further focus into cardio (which in the past I was on a 3x3 plan -3days lift, 3days cardio.)

The message as always is...dont give up. I noticed a dude in a wheelchair (he's a vet) in the gym 2 months ago....so...Can't is another word for Won't.

Entirely agree ... I have chronic pain, hip arthritis, yet power on with stretches, seated weights, cardio, etc ... not doing anything just makes any injuries or pain worse. You can always adapt things and move in some way, even if you have to go at a slower pace ... plus it's very empowering, even if painkillers need taking. The benefits to exercising are too good to just do nothing and be miserable and in more pain, and bigger. :drinker: Hope the hand's soon fully recovered.
