Hey all - I have a question for either the doctor types or the people that have been doing this awhile. I've been staying under my calorie limit (or very close to) for just over two weeks now. Weight-wise, everything is great. However, ever since Sunday or so, it's like my stomach doesn't want anything to eat. It seems any time I get over a certain amount (volume, not calories. The calorie count doesn't seem to affect it, just how MUCH I eat), like anything over half a cup, during and after I eat it I get very sick to my stomach, cramps sometimes, just very nauseated, my whole digestive tract seems to be in pain. This, of course, ruins the good food for me and makes me not want to eat. The problem is, I'm hypoglycemic so not eating isn't really an option for me. And I've tried to switch it up and eat different types of foods but nothing seems to be helping. What is wrong with me? Is there something I can do to make it better? I don't want to have this problem forever, it's making harder to get my vitamins and protein, etc, in for the day. Thank you!

You may have a virus or other illness. Eat whatever causes the least distress. If it doesn't go away in a few days, see a doctor.0

I had this problem when I first started out, it still occurs sometimes. I think your stomach may have just shrunk a bit, making it harder to consume a larger quantity of food. I had to push through it for a few days, forcing myself to eat beyond what my stomach was telling me to (just a little, I didn't gorge myself!). Just make sure to eat foods that are nutrient rich and can help make up for nutrients that may be lost from eating a small amount, and eat as frequently as possible. I think your body just may be reacting and adapting to the changes you have made in your diet and it will go away. But if not I would definitely consult a doctor.0

I would go with the after a few days see a doc. With the inflamation in the whole intestine you might have something spasming or something along those lines. Could be from an infection. That is what mine was. 7 days antibiotics and I was all good.0

Thank you, guys! I think I will try what Ali suggested and if it's still bad in a couple days, call my doctor. It seems to be a little better tonight when all I had for dinner was a salad, so yay for progress!0
