Sugar!

Ever since I cut alcohol out of my diet completely (a couple of glasses of wine a night) I'm finding myself craving chocolate and other sweet foods I never have before. Has anyone else found this?

Yes. When I stopped drinking too much beer every night I totally had sugar cravings. It goes away after a while.

I hope so! When I had my daily treat of wine I was a total savory person and wouldn't even give sweet foods a second thought but now I'd pick Dessert over a starter!

Bear in mind, I'll still eat sugary treats (and beer) in moderation. The huge cravings subsided though.
I don't believe in sugar addiction. Your body is used to metabolizing alcohol in the liver and getting that energy so it wants it replaced in the short run, I believe and your metabolism is just adjusting to a diet change.

That happened to me, but I got over it. I eat sweets still, but in moderation and I don't really have cravings at all.
