Anyone know the amount of sugar per day? I would love to decrease my sugar substantially. I am an outed sugar addicted...but one area I didnt realize I was getting too much sugar was in milk. I am hooked on milk too. :( Considering switching over again to soy milk, or even rice...whichever is healthier. Thoughts? TIA!!!!

Soy, rice and almond milk generally have about the same amount of sugar as cow's milk, and even more if they're flavored.

For the most part, natural sugars found in milk, fruits and vegetables aren't sugars you have to worry about. You really only have to worry about added refined sugars in more processed foods.

There are a lot of different schools of thoughts on this, but I'm of the belief that as long as you are getting sugars of mostly the natural variety, from milk, fruits, etc, then you are okay. Just try to avoid added and processed sugars from sweets and such.

Agree with both posts above! I slowly cut out a lot of the sugar in my life....I still allow sugar in my coffee every morning but it doesn't hurt me. You don't really want it anymore once it's gone!

WestSoy Unsweetened Vanilla Soy Milk (and I believe their same Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk) has a total of only 4 carbs per serving, with 3 of them being fiber (so it moves through your system and shouldn't really count in your carb total). I really like that specific milk--low carb, but also more "milky" than sweet.
