Hi Everyone,
I think that I will need support and motivation to keep myself going with my goals for this year. I'm a newly wed (married in August) and well, since I started dating my now husband 3 1/2 years ago, I have gained 50lbs. Ugh..just writing that makes me feel sick. A good portion of the weight gain was due to the birth control that I was on. But I've been off for a while, and I can't use that excuse any more. I have bad eating habits, and I need to change them. I've talked with my husband about this, and thankfully he is supportive.
I also know that I need to get my butt off the couch! I just have such a hard time working out...I'm not an early riser, so before work is tough. And, I'm a teacher (working primarily with students with severe emotional and behavioral needs) so after work I'm usually spent. Since I am off this week, I have started making healthier choices and have started working out. My husband and I recently got the playstation move, so I am trying the Get Fit with Mel B game; it's actually pretty cool for those of you who might have the move; you get to watch yourself on the screen so it's easy to make sure I'm doing the moves correctly..and it's motivating because I see what I really look like!!
I'm hoping that some of you will join this post/group and we can keep each other motivated and help keep track of our progress!! I'm also going to try and be more diligent about tracking my food each day.
Best of luck to everyone on here...together we can do it!!!
