what do you do when you just don't feel hungry?

I'm trying to retain the muscle I worked hard to build. But then there's a day like today, when I've eaten 500cals and I feel great, like nothing else is needed. Do I just eat unhealthy, non-filling things to make up the difference, or mindlessly eat in front of the tv, or do I accept the 500 cals and just hope that it doesn't come straight from muscle?
there's this cold we've been battling in my house for 2 weeks now and its just catching up with me I guess.:frown: I still feel super full from "lunch" (we ate at two, so I put it under supper)

I have faith in the fact that regardless of all the "diets" & "information" out there, my body knows what it needs. Sometimes I'm just not hungry. Why force feed myself?
I think that if it turns into more than just a day here or there then you might want to really look at what is going on but if it's just an "off" day then I wouldn't sweat it.0 -
If you aren't hungry now, you might be later. The day isn't over yet.0

Don't force yourself to eat if you're not hungry. Or, eat something healthy but high in calories. But one day won't hurt, just don't let it become a habit.0

thanks guys, I'll try and have some pb and toast before bed maybe? I just don't like to eat after 7pm.0

pb is always great. especially for a day like today, when a few extra calories wouldn't have hurt. the high protein content is good for sustaining your energy level and good for your muscle maintenance too!0
