College students: tips for eating well on the go?

I'm back in school full time and the trickiest thing I'm navigating is eating well when I'm at class all day and basically limited to whatever I can store in my backpack. Carrying an icepack around (and a giant lunch box) doesn't appeal.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm on campus from 8am - 4pm and I need some healthy brainfood. I have a Costco membership, but no access to a Trader Joe's.

Fruits, veggies and nuts/trail mix are foods that I always take with me to school and can be eaten at any time of the day. I also like taking homemade granola bars that I make about once a week because they're easy to just grab and go and don't take up a lot of space.

When I am hiking, I carry protein bars, beef jerky, fresh fruit, nuts and raisins or trail mix. Usually does the trick for a day trip. You can also do PB and J sandwiches.

Packing snacks ahead of time; I always shove random stuff into my purse/backpack when I'm on the go!
One day it was a Pyrex full of leftover pad thai.
    Another day it was applesauce.
If it fits, it goes with me! You could probably stock up on nuts, granola bars, fruit snacks, and fruits/veggies that don't need to be refrigerated. Or, peanut butter and crackers! Choices are endless.
