Weekly calories vs daily

Hey!
This is just an example, if you would eat a weeks worth of calories in 1 day and fasted the remaining 6 days, would you still lose weight if you dont go over your weekly goal?

(Im not going to do it btw, just an example :D)

yes, it would be the same. Many people lower their targets during the week so they can eat more on weekends. It's a controlled cheat day or cheat meal. So I lose weight at 2500 calories per week, if I wanted to, I could set my goal at 2000 for Sunday through Friday and eat an additionally 3000 calories on Saturday.

I don't know about that crazy of an example, but I tend to care more about staying under my weekly calorie goal than hitting my exact daily goal every day. (On the mobile app, if you go to "nutrition" and then hit the "weekly" tab at the bottom, you can see how your last 7 days measure up.)

Technically yes though the scale would never reflect it in the short term. But yeah, calories per week is all that matters so you can play with your daily calories for convenience reasons if you want so long as the weekly goal is met.

Daily, weekly, every two weeks, monthly, yearly...time doesn't matter...time is just something to use to our brains can measure and because we are linear thinkers...your body doesn't really care about the actual number of hours or days or weeks or whatever...if you're in a deficit overall over a period of whatever time, you will lose weight.
