I need a plan

I am 25 years old and have lost about 25 lbs. in the last two years. I would like to lose about 20 more, but have hit that dreaded weight loss plateau. I read a lot of health and fitness articles, but they all seem to contradict one another making it difficult to settle on a strategy that I feel confident with. I'd love to hear from others about what has worked for them. Any support or advice is appreciated.

Any advice or suggestions would be based in shear guesswork without being able to see your food journal.

Mix up your workouts. Eat about 1500 calories a day

  • 1500 calories a day. Don't let you body get use to a normal routine or it will stop. different workouts, different meals, different time of the day. Keep you body in guess mode! Just try it see what happens I hope you break out of it. Best of luck

Set MFP to lose 1/2 a pound per week, maybe 1 pound at the very most. Weigh solid foods with a food scale if possible, measure the rest and guessimate when you must. Log consistently. Eat a variety of foods as part of a well balanced diet. Get some exercise, log it and eat back at least half of the earned calories (many listings on MFP overestimate).

I've lowered my calorie intake, and am no longer skipping breakfast. I'm also trying to balance my cardio workouts and my strength training. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement!
