Fat loss with Poor Blood Flow

So I've been trying and trying to find info on this but haven't come across too much and I am hoping that perhaps someone here on MFP has some knowledge on it.

Long story short, since a kid I had bad varicose veins on my left leg. Blood flow was poor giving me pins and needles pretty often.

Last year I had them collapsed, but in doing so had to have one of the fairly major veins collapsed as well. It's still a little tender on my thigh.

I've always carried the majority of my weight in my lower body.

Since having the procedure my legs have become larger. It seems like no matter what I do I just can't get my legs to really lean out.

I have this theory that the poor blood flow to my legs is one of the reasons why.

Insight? Solutions? Or am I all the way in left field with this?

I doubt it's low blood flow causing your problem. Are you sure it's not fluid retention in your legs? (edema) Press your thumb on an area on your lower leg for a few seconds, if it leaves an indentation, it's edema. If that's what it is, I would ask your Dr. for a solution.
    Hope you get better.

Are your legs swollen? I don't know about over the knee testing for swelling, but on the shin down to the ankle you can test for swelling by pressing your fingers into the flesh over the bone hard for a second or two. If you have pits left in the flesh from the pressure ... they will go away momentarilly, then you are retaining fluid in your legs.

But better still ... you might consider contacting your doctor's office and speaking to the nurse about it.

I tried the pressure test and the skin bounces right back, so that crosses that out. Thank you for the suggestions.
