Zombie 5k tomorrow

Practicing my zombie make up tonight, for a zombie 5k tomorrow morning. :D It's my first time doing any kinda zombie themed make up. Any tips/advice? I have liquid latex, zombie "flesh", various cream make up colors, sponges, brushes and a latex wound I bought that is supposed to look like a chomp wound you put on your neck. My main concern is the chomp wound is skin colored, but I was gonna go for a gray green-ish color on my face, neck, collar bone area... Do you think putting make up on the "wound" would change the color so it would blend in with everything else??
